Winter 2012 Term 2 will resume Thursday January 5 for all dancers who will be performing in the musical Piano Man. All fees must be paid at the first dance class.

**New students wanting to register for the Winter session will begin Feb.16, 2012.

We will kick off this season with our production of Piano Man. More information will follow regarding extra rehearsal times, locations and details regarding drop off & pick-up.

After that our Winter session will focus strictly on Irish dance technique and drills. Dancers should not expect to complete a song in entirety but rather practice on techniques important for competition or Feis 'routines'. Repetition and 'individualized' paced instruction will be the norm and dancers will be completing steps.

All classes will be 1 hour in length and registration will be $125.00 for 10 week session. New students who will be entering in the Winter session will have a 6 week session at a cost of $75. Theses students will be required to complete the registration form below. All fees must be paid at the start of classes as there is no Registration day for this session.

There is a 10% discount for any dancer who has a sibling or parent currently registered with Celtic Spirit Dancers.

Any classes cancelled, due to the Instructor's schedule, will be rescheduled. This does not include classes cancelled due to weather. We do not issue any refunds for missed classes.

Which Class is Appropriate for my Dancer?

Group names of the classes are descriptive using the terms Beginner vs. Intermediate/Advanced and Level.
Beginner vs. Intermediate/Advanced refers to the skill set attained in Irish dancing. This is evaluated by the instructor. Everyone will start at beginner.

Most importantly is Level which refers to the dancer’s age and categorizes the ages we feel best learn together. The levels include:

Pre-Level I- 3-5 year olds
Level I- 6- 10 year olds
Level II- 11- 16 year olds
Adult- 17 years and up

General Guidelines

** All dancers should come dressed appropriate for physical activity.

** Proper shoes are soft ghillies. They are not required for beginners. Ballet slippers will do. If purchasing slippers, try to get black in color. If you would like to purchase Irish shoes, please email Sara or check our Shoes webpage.

** NO food or snacks. Water only.

** NO Toys. Dancers are there to learn to dance and despite warnings from parents to keep their toys in their bags, they are always a distraction, in particular at breaktime.

** Remember to label all clothing and bottles.

** When classes are in progress, enter and exit the dance studio quietly.

** Because of distractions, parents are not permitted to stay during classes.

** Please ensure that you know your dancers group name i.e. name of their class. It helps when reading the calendar to determine class times.

** All Fees must be paid before first class. Please make an attempt to pay at Registration. Accepting money during class is an interruption. If you cannot make registration, please email Sara and arrange an alternative time. There are no refunds after Week 2 of each session.

** Year end receipts are provided October.
